How should I prepare my files for the mix?
I use Steinberg Cubase software. If you are using Cubase, in any version you can simply send me your session and I will be able to load it without further changes. It is usually labeled "untitled followed by a number"
If you are using another DAW, such as Logic, ProTools, etc. then you will need to output your individual tracks as WAV files. Consult the user documentation for your DAW for explicit instructions for outputting individual tracks or check YouTube for a tutorial.
My current setup can easily accept up to 48 or more stereo or mono audio tracks plus midi tracks.
Please send Wav Files only up to and including 196K/32bit
When you output your tracks individually, please bring the faders to unity gain (0). If your faders are very low, the resulting bounced files will also have a very low volume. Also, please remove any effects such as reverbs or delays. With the exception if it is an effect that is an integral part of the sound (for example a guitar with flanger). When in question, just bounce two copies of the sound, one with the effect and one without.
If interested in re-amping be sure to send your direct guitar tone track without any EQ etc..
Most importantly, make sure each audio file is bounced from the beginning of the song with an extra bar, even if that means there is blank space. This way all tracks will line up correctly when I import the files into my DAW.
Please supply me with the tempo in BPM of each cut as indicated on your DAW and any useful information on the song.
Don't upconvert or down convert. Send it to me in its original recorded sample rate. I can accept almost every sample and bit depth. Please indicate what sample and bit rate you are sending me so there is no confusion.
Still not sure watch this video I produced on YouTube click below:

I'm recording vocals in the studio how should I prepare my music track?
Make a stereo mix with your levels peaking around -3 or so, output a wav file in the native sample and bit rate you are recording in.
For example, if you recorded your music in 44.1 16bit output it in the same format don't up or down covert.
Please also included the tempo in bpm as indicated in your Daw.
Set your export range with an extra bar before the song starts it just makes it easier to align to the grid.
How should I send you my files?
Best way I found to send files is zip all the files into a compressed folder (so nothing becomes corrupt in the transfer) and use a transfer service (not drop box) A great free service is "we transfer" it seems to work really well and send your files to me.
